Holidays at the White House
Pre-K - 2nd grades
Each year, the White House hosts many events that celebrate our nation's diversity. Students will learn more about these holiday traditions by viewing and touching the types of objects that are used during these celebrations. Following the classroom activity, the students will be go on a docent-led tour of the musuem.

Jazzing Things Up: Creating America’s Gift to Music
3rd – 5th grades
This presentation will focus on the birth and development of jazz and the musicians who helped create and define this American art form. This program will feature the African-American influence on jazz and will demonstrate how the genre has influenced musical development throughout the world. Jazzing Things Up will feature music along with dramatic presentations by the Fine Arts Department at Parkview Arts and Science Magnet School. Space is limited.

Jazz Mini Tour
Pre-K – 2nd grades
Get students excited about jazz! This program will introduce jazz through storytelling and a jazz karaoke activity. The program includes a tour of “Jazz: Through the Eyes of Herman Leonard” and the “Life in the White House” exhibits.

Jazz 101
3rd – 8th grades
Students will experience the sights and sounds of mid-20th century jazz through “Jazz 101,” a brief introductory presentation that will preview the artists and their music featured in the exhibition. Designed to be grade-level specific, the tour will highlight the faces and names that have shaped this uniquely American genre.

Spring Break Activity: Instrumental Petting Zoo
Pre-K – 5th grades
In partnership with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Clinton Presidential Library will host the Instrumental Petting Zoo. Students can touch and play string, woodwind and brass instruments, and will meet the musicians. Spring break activities are free, however admission fees to tour the Library apply.

National Symbols
Pre-K – 2nd grades
Why is the bald eagle a national symbol of this great nation? Why are there 50 stars on the U.S. flag? Bring your students to the Clinton Presidential Library to learn these answers and much more. Students will be introduced to national symbols through a hands-on classroom activity. Following the classroom activity, students will find national symbols located throughout the musuem on a docent-led tour.

“Celebrating Cultures” International Village at Riverfest
1st – 8th grades
Close out the school year with an international festival of activities sponsored by the Clinton Foundation and Riverfest. “Celebrating Culture” gives students an opportunity to enjoy music, cultural performances, arts, crafts and foods from around the world. Schools will register and showcase a culture, country or cuisine of their choice. This activity is designed to be grade level specific. More details to be announced.

Presidential Pets
Pre-K - 2nd grades
Students will learn about the beloved pets that have lived in the White House. Students will be introduced to presidential pets with a storytelling session of "President Adams' Alligator." Following the classroom activity, students will locate some of the animals that were mentioned in the book throughout the museum.
